3 - 1 quart of Weldwood (or similar) can of contact cement
4 - 1 bottle of rubbing alcohol
Step 1: Raise the hood of your vehicle and cover the entire engine bay with several sheets of newspaper.
Step 2: Fit check each section of hood pad into the appropriate cavity in the inner hood. Remove them and lay them on the ground (reflective surface down) in there respective locations.
Step 3: Apply the alcohol on a clean cloth and clean each of the cavities inside the hood. Make sure that any grease, oil, or dirt is removed.
Step 4: Open the can of cement and carefully apply one coat to one of the hood pad cavities. Avoid getting the cement on the raised support ribs of the hood.
Step 5: Peel off the protective paper backing from the hood pad material, exposing the pressure sensitive adhesive backing and apply one coat of contact cement directly onto the adhesive surface.
Step 6: Allow the cement to dry to the touch and become tacky.
Step 7: Carefully align the pad to the hood cavity and gently apply the pad to the hood. Once the pad is in place press firmly and tuck edged under the space between the enforcement rib and the hood.
