BMP design Garage Door Opener Install
For over 30 years automatic garage door systems have required an unsightly generic clip on transmitter that would permanently damage your BMW's sun visor. These would require constant battery replacement, and in most cases require aiming the transmitter in the direction of the garage for proper reception.
The new BMP design automatic opener integrates directly with your existing garage door system and your BMW high beam headlight system. One simple flash of your high beams and the garage door opens. Reception is always perfect since the transmitter is mounted under the hood. The installation procedure is very straightforward and can be completed in less than 30 minutes.

|
1) Disconnect the high beam light bulb socket and remove 1-2 inches of electrical tape to access the two high bean wires.
2) Using the scotch clips provided, attach both of the wire leads to the wires leading into the high beam socket.

3) Rewrap the wires and scotch clips with electrical tape or heat shrinking insulation and reconnect the high beam light bulb socket.
4) Find a dry and clear location from moving parts to mount the transceiver near the headlamp assembly area. For this install, we chose the driver's side fender well, inside the engine compartment toward the front of the vehicle.

5) Install the receiver unit according to the directions provided with the unit. In most cases this involves removing your old wall mounted garage door opener and replace it with the new receiver using the 2 wire leads that that old unit made use of.
