The VDO temperature sending units are designed to replace your vehicles oil drain plug. We have found this to be the easiest and most stable place to take oil temperature readings. Since the senders are made of brass they do require a little more care when installing. These sending units are only to be used on V.D.O. temperature gauges with 300 degree maximum range. All units are for 12 volt systems.
