The Supersprint E60 M5 / E63/4 M6 headers develop impressive gains of 52 horsepower and 37 ft lb of torque. The patented long tube header design features primary tubes that are fitted to the vehicle independent of the 5 into one floating merge collector. These impressive performance gains are achieved by using the same Formula 1 technology that BMW followed to design the 500 horsepower M5 / M6 S85 engine.
With the high R.P.M. power band of the BMW S85 V10 engine, header design does not follow the same rules of the typical low R.P.M. domestic V8 engines. Equal length primary tubes must maintain precise lengths, as well as proper tubing diameter and curve radius. The floating flange merge collector is a must to allow for proper thermal expansion to avoid cracking under severe heat and high RPM engine harmonics. Supersprint collector system utilizes a special graphite composite seal which is held securely in place with 5 heavy duty tension springs. This patented design assures proper sealing to avoid a C.E.L. light. Kit includes connecting pipe to install your factory secondary main cats. for a clean factory style installation. However the system nets the highest power gains when used in conjunction with the high flow Supersprint HJS 200 C.P.I.S. racing catalytic converters.
