Here is an exciting new product that I believe every Do-It-Yourselfer will want for their home garage. Like most car enthusiasts, I always find a need on occasion to get under my car. Now, when that car is a MINI Cooper it's probably easier to jump over the car than to crawl under it. The typical ramps that you will find on the market are designed for vehicles with average ground clearance allowing them to have a very short ramp length. This short ramp length creates a problem for lowered vehicles, since the front lower edge of the bumper or spoiler will contact the ramp prior to the vehicle lifting up. The new BMP design sport ramps are a total of 56 inches long. This will allow most lowered vehicles that have a long nose section to safely drive up the ramps without contact issues. The extra wide 12" contact surface will accommodate most modern wide low profile tires.
The ultra lightweight material makes storage and handling these ramps a breeze. For safety the entire outer surface is a molded slip resistant material that will grip firmly to the garage floor. These are a must for track events.
Note: There is always a risk when getting under a lifted car. Keep children and pets away and concentrate on the project at hand. Spend as little time as possible under the vehicle and do not leave a lifted vehicle unattended.
Compatibility: To determine if your car will clear these ramps place one end of a yardstick under the front lip of either front tire and lift up the opposite end until it makes contact with the front spoiler. If the end of the yardstick is more then 6 3/4” off the ground, your car will clear these ramps without problem. This method is illustrated in the following
