Most repair manuals for the later generation BMWs and MINIs will make reference to various automotive test meters, such as a volt/ohm meter, or a portable tachometer. Well here is a tool you can’t do without. Repair almost any electrical problem using the volt/ohm meter function. For early vehicles using points to trigger the ignition, the dwell meter will help you adjust the points far more accurately than with a feeler gauge. By clipping the inductive pick-up over the plug wire you can instantly check engine R.P.M. You can check engine, coolant or exhaust temperature with the -4°to +1400°. F temperature gauge. These are only a few of the tests that you can perform on your car quickly and easily. This unit will take the guesswork out of many costly repairs.
Check out this list of functions:
- 1 to 8 cyl. tachometer with inductive pick up from 600 to 12,000 R.P.M.
- AC/DC volt/ current meter
- Ohm meter
- Dwell meter
- Duty cycle
- Frequency (Hz)
- Temperature gauge, w/temperature probe
- Diode check
- Continuity check
Kit includes: Autometer, rubber shock resistant holster, inductive tachometer lead, volt/ohm test leads, and temperature probe. Note: tachometer will not function with direct fire ignition.
