The BMP cylinder leak down tester will determine the exact reason for your engine's compression loss. Without any disassembly you will be able to determine which valve is burnt, or if you have a blown head gasket or a cracked head. You will also be able to detect worn or broken rings. Worn or broken rings cannot always be visually detected once you've removed the cylinder head.
